Clifthouse Farm Bed And Breakfast

Bill and Margaret Harrison welcome you to their 3 diamond B&B in the heart of the countryside.

Welcome To Clifthouse Farm B&B

An avenue of beech trees leads you to Clifthouse Farm, set on a sandstone cliff above the River Lyne. Margaret and Bill Harrison provide a warm welcome, making every effort to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Clifthouse is set in a quiet countryside location, yet less than 10 minutes drive from the M6 motorway. It is the perfect place to break your journey, or to stay longer and explore the area. We are also on the very popular Reivers Cycle Route and therefore have ample secure areas for your cycles.

If you are looking for a quiet place for fishing then look no further as we own the rights to fish the River Lyne which runs through our land.

In the morning, you can enjoy a hearty home made traditional farmhouse breakfast using locally sourced Cumberland sausages and free range farm eggs, bacon, fruit juice, toast and tea or coffee, to give you an excellent start to the day.

We have a large fenced off garden to the front of the house and the farm is along a private drive away from the road. This provides ample parking for cars, trailers and bikes can be securely locked in one of the disused barns.

Bill was brought up on Clifthouse Farm where Margaret joined him when they married in 1963. Bill & Margaret worked the farm until they decided to wind down and take semi retirement from farming a few years ago. The grassland is let out so there are still plenty of cows and sheep to be seen grazing from the comfort of your room. Alternatively Margaret can suggest suitable fields and tracks for you to wander the farm and river.
